Blair High School's transition from natural grass to field turf is evident Tuesday at Krantz Field. The multi-sport stadium's latest project started in May at the conclusion of the track and field season with hopes of a Aug. 1 completion date. In February, the Blair Community Schools Board of Education approved a bid from Mid America Sports Construction for $958,958.58 to install the synthetic turf playing field.

Youngsters filled the Blair High School gym for a girls basketball clinic Monday through Thursday. High school hoopers practiced their skills in the morning before a junior high session and a grade 3-5 one in the afternoon. Coach Matt Aschoff said more than 70 kids in grades 3-8 took part.
