2nd Blair Senior Legion game cut short by storms

Bears lead Kelly Ryan Pride 2-0 through 4 innings

The Blair Senior Legion baseball team had its second-straight Tuesday game suspended by storms.
While the Post 154 Bears' June 7 game at Omaha Concordia was called during the second inning, coach James Bilslend's team played four complete at Vets Field on Tuesday. They led 2-0 against the Omaha Roncalli Kelly Ryan Pride.
Blair (6-4 overall) scored its first run during the first frame. Dylan Swanson's RBI double gave the Bears a 1-0 advantage pitcher Tanner Jacobson held until his team scored another run in the bottom of the fourth. That time, Swanson drew a bases-loaded walk before the teams headed to the dugout and stayed their.
Blair baseball players only emerged from the dugout to place tarps on the mound and home plate, and to head home as the rain began to fall.
Post 154 was scheduled to play home again Wednesday and hosts Nebraska City at 8 p.m. today. It competes 6 p.m. Saturday against Gering and then completes its game at Concordia on Monday.
The Bears' last three innings against Roncalli had not been scheduled as of press time.
