Witnesses with information regarding a fatality on the Missouri River over Memorial Day weekend are asked to report to officials immediately. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Law Enforcement Bureau is seeking information about activity seen on a 30-foot, red and white, Scarab boat during the day on May 29 between river mile marker 650 and 691. The boat is connected to the death of Emma Olsen, 20 of Omaha, whose body was recovered from the river near Blair the morning of June 2. She was reported missing after the boat sank near Tyson Bend Wildlife Area on the Iowa side shortly before midnight on May 29. The boat was recovered on May 31. Anyone with information pertaining to the incident is encouraged to contact Iowa Conservation Officer Aaron Johnson at (712) 249-2015. Information can be reported anonymously. more
