Seventeen Blair Bears, eight Arlington Eagles and three Fort Calhoun Pioneers are expected to compete May 17-18 during the NSAA State Track and Field Championships after Tuesday’s meet in Elkhorn.
Blair finished fourth in both the boys and girls standings of the Class B District 2 Meet at Elkhorn High School, while the Bennington girls and Elkhorn North boys claimed titles. Arlington’s girls, meanwhile, were fifth ahead of sixth-place Fort Calhoun.
The Eagles’ boys were eighth and FCHS ninth, too.
The Bears’ Ethan Baessler, Nolan Slominski, Greta Galbraith and the boys’ 3,200-meter relay team earned gold medals on the Antlers' home track. Arlington's Cadie Robinson won the shot put, too.
Overall, though, Washington County state qualifiers are listed below. Unified qualifiers are to be announced.
