Washington County JV golfers compete Monday, too

The Blair High School golf team earned ninth out of 15 teams Tuesday during the Omaha Skutt Invite.
Collectively, coach Ross Udey's Bears finished 92-over par at Tiburon Golf Club, finishing 50 strokes behind first-place Elkhorn.
BHS senior Bode Soukup, however, finished tied for 14th overall out of 75 golfers. He had 88 strokes, shooting par on nine holes.
Connor Wayman, meanwhile, finished with 90 Blair swings for a tie at 21st. He birdied the par-5 ninth hole on the Hammerhead course.
Jase Lantry, Aaron Hinman and Tyler Lantry added 99, 103 and 118 strokes from there with Jase sinking a birdie shot on the par-4, Hammerhead sixth hole.
Hinman shot par on five holes overall, too.
The Bears were scheduled to compete in a quadrangular at Oakland Golf Club on Thursday and next compete Saturday in a tournament on the same course.

JVs competes at Platteview, Northridge
Blair and Arlington junior varsity golfers played 18 holes at Platteview Golf Club on Monday, too, while Bears and Fort Calhoun Pioneers also competed in Tekamah.
The Eagles finished 14th at Platteview with 471 strokes, while the Bears — Markus Popa, Jacob Hanson, Wyatt Loftis, Riley Batenhorst and Israel Tinoco — finished with 495 swings in 16th place. Tyler Anthofer led coach Landon Walkenhorst's team, carding 110 strokes, while Hunter Wallace and Johnathan Taylor each finished with 114.
AHS' Nate Erwin and Jordan Camden had 133 and 135 strokes, respectively.
Bennington, meanwhile, won the Trojans' tournament with 344 strokes combined. Papillion-La Vista South was second with a 374.
In Tekamah, BHS and Fort Calhoun JV golfers played nine holes. The Pioneers finished third during the seven-team tourney, while the Bears took fifth.
Tysen Sunderman of FCHS led all Washington County golfers in sixth with 50 swings, while teammates Abbey Lienemann (55 strokes) and Korbin Klein (58) finished 11th and 15th, respectively.
Blair's Nolan Wolfe carded 51 swings for eighth, while Justin Kramer (58) and Zeke Prochaska also finished with less than 60 strokes.
Bears Landon Holtz, Peyton Collins, Liem Taylor and Carter Miller represented their school at Northridge Country Club as well, while Aiden Garbers, Aaron Melville, Kylee Ashby, Leah Klabunde, Adriana Hernandez and Shelby Dorau finished with nine-hole scores for Fort Calhoun.
