Blair High School sophomore Maxwell Rump recently earned Omaha High School Hockey League (OHSHL) 2023-2024 All-Academic Team honors.
The Elkhorn United Red defenseman played 28 games wearing No. 7 this season, scoring two goals and recording five assists. His team went 18-8-5, securing fourth in the regular season standings behind just Tri-City, Creighton Prep and Millard West.
Rump's United Red team also secured third in the OHSHL tournament.
The BHS student-athlete played defenseman for the Omaha Knights Black 18U Select this winter, too, traveling to tournaments in Madison, Wisc., Chicago, Colorado Springs, Colo., St. Louis and South Bend, Ind. The Knights won their Luck of the Irish tourney in St. Louis on March 10.
