It’s crunch time this fall sports season and our latest Nannnen & Harte Physical Therapy Athletes of the Week are stepping up.
Brock Templar, Sam Brewer and Kolby Tighe represented their Washington County teams well, so let’s give them some shine.

Brock Templar, Blair football: The Bears earned a rare victory against Elkhorn on Friday and the junior running back was a big reason why. He carried the ball 37 times for 176 yards according to the Omaha World-Herald, eating up more than 6 minutes of the fourth quarter on a drive featuring handoffs to him exclusively. He had one touchdown and played aggressive defense, too.

Sam Brewer, Fort Calhoun softball: The senior infielder had a four-RBI game during the subdistrict tournament, but is an honoree this week thanks to her body of work. A starter since her freshman year, the Pioneer played through a winless 2020 campaign all the way to this 22-win run this fall. She closes her last FCHS season with a .438 average, 39 hits and 25 RBIs.

Kolby Tighe, Arlington cross-country: Complimenting Nolan May’s first-place finish again this week, the Eagle earned fourth during the Nebraska Capitol Conference Meet in 17:2.42. The results led to the Eagles’ conference title win ahead of second-place Syracuse.

Congrats to the honorees, and every AHS, BHS and FCHS student-athlete who put in the work across the past seven days. Check back here at enterprisepub.com/sports later this week for our Athlete of the Week video interview. They are poorly shot and edited by your's truly (I went to school to write, you know), but in a charming sort of way.
