Ten Washington County high school sports programs were recently recognized with the release of the Fall 2023 Nebraska Coaches Association's (NCA) Team Academic Excellence Awards.
Arlington's cheer, boys cross-country, girls cross-country, dance, girls golf and softball teams were all honored as were the cheer and dance teams of Blair. Fort Calhoun's cheer and dance teams received recognition as well.
The programs met NCA criteria to secure recognition. They all earned team cumulative 3.30 GPAs during the fall semester.
Volleyball team recipients will not be released until after the school year, according to the NCA website.
