KENNARD CEMETERY BOARD MINUTES -POST MAY 2, 2023 The Kennard Cemetery Board met at the Kennard Fire Hall at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. Present were Ron Kruse, Jack Lorsch, Boyd Lambert, Ron Kerstetter, Dixie Lambert, and Anne Godsey. Anne opened the meeting. She advised those present of the location of the Open Meeting Act poster as required per State Statute 84-1407 through 84-1411. Anne reviewed the 2022 Minutes. No corrections were needed. Jack Lorsch made a motion to approve; Ron Kerstetter seconded the motion. Motion carried. Discussed planting of trees in old and new sections of cemetery. Ron Kruse made a motion to approve; Jack Lorsch seconded the motion. Motion carried. Discussed expenses for 2023. •Headstone repair (open item), Anne will take pictures of headstones needing repair and submit to Schmidt’s Monument for a bid. Will bring back to cemetery board for approval. •Stump removal, discussed having Travis Goldapp remove several stumps in cemetery. •Memorial Day porta a potty has been ordered for 2023. •Discussed installation of benches built by Boy Scouts. Benches to be ready for Memorial Day. Boy Scouts will install plaques once done. Discussed old water cistern/pump and the possible removal of pump and/or removal or sand fill of cistern for safety purposes (open item). Jack and Ron will speak to Tom’s Well Service for classification in order to possibly have NRD cost share on removal. Once the determination is made will present to Village Board for direction. The Revenue and Expense Listing for 2022 was provided by the Kennard Village Clerk, group reviewed there are additional questions for auditor. Cemetery software update was discussed. The data conversion is complete, and we are ready to go live with both the admin website and the public website: https://www.cemify.com/cem/kennard Anne will make sure public site link is given to Kate Village Clerk to include on the Village of Kennard website. Boyd Lambert made a motion that the meeting be drawn to a conclusion, and that it be left open for new developments that may occur in the future. Ron Kerstetter seconded that motion. Motion carried.
