The Arlington and Fort Calhoun football teams were outscored 86-7 Friday, while the Blair Bears officially improved to 2-0 during an off week.

The Bears' scheduled game against Omaha Buena Vista was cancelled before the season. Arlington's game at West Point-Beemer, however, ended in a 40-0 defeat. The Eagles (0-2 overall) trailed just 14-0 at halftime, but surrendered a 20-point third quarter to the Cadets.

Kaden Pittman led AHS with 41 rushing yards, while Kaden Foust threw for 54 more. West Point-Beemer, meanwhile, finished with 495 yards of offense.

In Oakland on Friday, the Fort Calhoun Pioneers — like the Cadets — moved to 1-1 this season.  Coach Adolph Shepardson's team fell to the Oakland-Craig Knights, 46-7.

FCHS junior Grayson Bouwman produced Washington County's lone touchdown of the week on a fourth-quarter pass reception.
