Officials recently released Eastern Midlands Conference (EMC) and Nebraska Capitol Conference (NCC) all-conference basketball honors.
Arlington, Blair and Fort Calhoun High School were all represented, though not every postseason honors team was officially announced.

2 Bears make all-conference team
Two Blair Bears earned EMC All-Conference Team honors for their play during the 2023-24 season.
Senior Crayton Macholan average 12.5 points per game for the BHS boys, according to the 22 contests scored on maxpreps.com. He also pulled down 6.1 rebounds, handed out four assists and stole the ball 2.3 times each time out.
Junior Addie Sullivan, meanwhile, averaged 10.9 points per game despite missing several due to injury. The forward returned to the lineup in time to help the Bears win four of their last seven games after a 7-10 start.
Blair's Easton Bosanek, Bo Meier, Kaitlynn O'Neil, Joslyn Policky and Leah Chance also claimed all-conference honorable mention for their season-long contributions. Policky and Chance are seniors, but every other player has high school eligibility remaining.
In addition to the All-EMC basketball teams, the conference also announced its academic all-conference wrestlers. BHS' Atticus Dick, Brady Thomas, Thomas Chikos, AJ Damme, Hudson Loges, Henry Sullivan, Mac Tupa, Keenan Wyman, Taryn Bellamy, Siena Smith and Jo Inget were all recognized.

NCC releases girls team honors
With the boys state basketball tournament yet to be played, the NCC released just its girls all-conference teams last week. The boys' team will be published Friday.
Arlington sophomore Emme Timm represented Washington County on the first team, according to coach Tashia Wolf. The point guard led the district finalist Eagles with a 13.3 points per game average, while pulling down 4.2 rebounds and dishing out 4.5 assists with 3.8 steals a night, too.
AHS' Britt Nielsen and Macy Wolf, meanwhile, were voted to the NCC second-team after scoring 11.6 and 10.8 points per game, respectively.
Fort Calhoun standouts Bria Bench, Raeann Massey and Ansley Elofson, however, all made the NCC's second team. Bench, a senior, averaged 10.4 points and eight rebounds per game, while Massey, a freshman, finished with a team-best 12.8-point average. Elofson, meanwhile, finished with 11.7 points per night and 7.1 rebounds to go with 3.2 steals.
The Pioneers' coach, Marty Plum, publicly announced his resignation March 6 on social media.
“I believe that this program is a terrific place, and I look forward to helping whomever replaces me in any way possible,” he wrote. “Thank you to the Fort Calhoun community!! It has been and always will be a great day to be a Pioneer!”
