The seasons of the Blair and Arlington High School golf teams concluded Wednesday during district competition.
Coach Rachel Brown’s Bears earned sixth during the Class B-2 District Tournament at River Wilds, while coach Cailyn Johnson’s Eagles were 11th at the Class C-2 District Tourney at Quail Run in Columbus.
Macy Schrad led BHS with 102 swings across 18 holes at River Wilds. She completed her round Tuesday before the rest of her teammates were forced to complete district play Wednesday by rain.
The Bears’ Wrylee Osterhaus had 104 strokes, Tessa Nicholson carded 108 and Carrie Truhlsen added 110 ahead of Mackenzie Storjohann’s 119.
Altogether, Julia Karmazin of Elkhorn North won the B-2 District meet with just 75 strokes. Omaha Duchesne, however, was first as a team ahead of second-place Elkhorn North and third-place Bennington.
In Columbus, AHS’ Aspen Smutz carded a team-low 132 swings. Sarah Rhea had 137, Bella Wilcox totaled 156 and Ally Meyer notched 158. Honora Andreasen had 160 strokes, too.
Columbus Scotus’ Cecilia Arndt, meanwhile, won the C-2 meet’s individual title. Her Shamrocks team was first, too, while Oakland-Craig and Fullerton claimed second and third.
