City of Blair Regular Council Meeting May 23, 2023 The Mayor and City Council met in regular session in the City Council Chambers on May 23, 2023, at 7:00 PM. The following were present: Katelyn Ferrari, Holly Hafer, Kirk Highfill, Rick Paulsen, Jim Sandvold, Andrew Schank, Kevin Willis, and Frank Wolff. Absent: Andrew Schank. Also present were City Administrator Storm, Assistant City Administrator Barrow, Library Director, and Chief Lager. Mayor Rump called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. followed by the roll call vote and the Pledge of Allegiance. Consent agenda approved the following: 4a) Approval of Minutes of the May 9, 2023, meeting; 4b) Clerk report of Mayoral Action of meeting and 4c) Claims as approved by the Finance Committee. Motion by Kevin Willis, second by Holly Hafer to approve the Consent Agenda. Resolution No. 2023-18 approving the renewal proposal received from BCBS for employee health insurance effective July 1, 2023. Motion by Holly Hafer, second by Frank Wolff to adopt Resolution No. 2023-18 as presented. City Administrator Green asked James Bilslend with the Parks Department to attend the meeting to talk about the lights at Vet’s Field. Discussion was held regarding the installation of the lights and the new scoreboard. Green also stated he would like to meet with each of the Council members individually and will be contacting them soon to set something up. Staff is also working on filling the Treasurer’s position.
