Bears best Warriors, Nebraska City in duals

The Blair wrestling team improved to 9-2 in duals Tuesday, besting both Wahoo and Nebraska City at the Warriors' triangular.
First, coach Erich Warner's Bears won nine of their 10 contested matches against the host school. The final tally was 68-6.
Dex Larsen, Lance Hume, Atticus Dick, Charlie Powers and Yoan Camejo earned pins, while Dylan Berg earned an 18-3 technical fall. Landon Templar, meanwhile, won a tightly-contested, 138-pound match against Wahoo's Sebastian Lausterer by ultimate tiebreaker.
BHS' Dane Larsen (170 pounds), Branden Hanson (182) added three points apiece by decision victories.
Then, against Nebraska City, BHS went 8-6 with seven of its eight wins coming with team bonus points. Luke Frost won his 113-pound match by 8-7 decision, but every other Bear claimed a 4-point major decision or 6-point pinfall.
Jesse Loges, Templar, Camejo, Braden Hanson and Dex Larsen stuck their Pioneer opposition to the mat in 4:29 or less. Loges took that third-period pin at 106 pounds, while Hanson's 182-pound match took just 47 seconds.
Powers and Atticus Dick, meanwhile, earned Blair wins by major decision.
The Bears next compete today in a home dual tournament beginning at 3 p.m. They host Fairbury, Columbus Lakeview, Millard North, Norris and Glenwood, Iowa.
