AHS girls enter postseason 19-4
The ninth-ranked Arlington girls basketball team concluded its regular season schedule Friday by road rout.
Coach Tashia Wolf's Eagles beat Louisville 70-24, improving to 19-4 before the start of postseason play. The Eagles host Logan View/Scribner-Snyder today in their first game of the Class C1-6 Subdistrict Tournament. The matchup begins at 7 p.m.
First, though, Macy Wolf scored 19 points to lead AHS past the 4-18 Lions. The sophomore made three 3-pointers, while Emme Timm hit one and finished with 13 points. Hailey O'Daniel and Austyn Flesner scored nine apiece, too.
Timm also tied the AHS school record for steals in a season with her 87th against the Lions. Lori Gottsch initially set the record during the 1988-89 campaign.

Boys drop road contest
Oliver Ladehoff scored a game-high 28 points Friday, but the Arlington boys basketball team fell 56-53 at Louisville.
The loss dropped coach Jake Polk's team to 9-12 with a regular season game at Omaha Concordia to go, while the Lions improved to the same record.
AHS had one last possession to tie the score at the end of regulation in Louisville, but failed to attempt a shot before the buzzer sounded. Ladehoff hit his point total with five make from long range and a 3-for-4 free throw effort.
Trent Koger added 10 points for the Eagles, too, but it wasn't enough as the Lions celebrated a win on their home floor.
