4 Blair girls basketball teams win Hoopstock divisions

Blair Basketball Club hosts 2 weekends of tournaments

Thirteen Blair Basketball Club girls teams competed Saturday and Sunday during the second weekend of the Hoopstock Tournament series.
Of the thirteen, four earned first-place finishes. The third-grade Purple, fourth-grade White, sixth-grade White and seventh-grade Purple squads all went 2-0 at the Gardner-Hawks Center — the former home of the Dana College Vikings.
Notably, the third-grade Purple team outscored its opposition 47-16 altogether, while the fourth-grade White team won a game 30-2. The seventh-grade Purple, meanwhile, scored 45 points during a 45-25 win, too.
While four Blair teams did go winless, the second-grade team, the fourth-grade Purple squad, the seventh-grade White team, and the eighth-grade White and Purple teams, each went 1-1.
A sixth-grade Fort Calhoun Orange basketball team went 0-2 at the Hoopstock Tournament as well.
The event was Blair Basketball Club's second of the month afte hosting the boys' edition of the Hoopstock Tourney on Jan. 20-21.
