Classmates and friends of Jett Andreasen gathered at Otte Blair Middle School for a tree dedication and balloon release in his honor on May 1. Jett drowned at a private pool following a medical episode in September 2021. He was 13 years old and in 8th grade at the time. Community members began donating to a fund in Jett's memory, which was used to purchase a willow tree.
