Celebrating Herman

Warm weather brings out many to support the town

A warm weekend provided the backdrop to the annual Herman Days.

Around eight co-ed teams made their way to the front of Petersen’s Bar 75 to toss bean bags for the corn hole tournament. Prizes were on the line, as well as a silent auction with items from Ducks Unlimited.

Garage sales were scattered throughout town and a bazaar was set up in Herman Park. Also in Herman Park was a free will donation lunch, a Wiffle ball tournament with young and old trying their hand at striking the light ball with their bats. Money raised from the Wiffle ball tournament will go to the Tekamah-Herman Ball Association, which takes care of uniforms, tournaments and other items.

On Sunday was the return of the biscuits and gravy breakfast put on by the Herman Volunteer Fire Department and the Show and Shine car show.
