Curt was born to Stanley M. and Virginia (Hershey) Jensen of Blair. Curt was raised north of Blair and was a graduate of Blair High School. In 1976 he married the love of his life Deanna Paulsen.
Curt worked more than 30 years as a 911 Communications Operator for Dodge County, Washington County and many years at Douglas County 911 Communications. Curt made many lifetime friends with his fellow communication operators and law enforcement officers. He had the greatest respect for these people and the profession. Curt also farmed the family farm for a great number of years. Last year Curt came out of farming retirement and farmed again. He said his happiest time was harvesting.
Curt is survived by his wife Deanna, his brothers; Mick (Sandra) Jensen of Blair and John (Ingrid) Jensen of Lafayette, Colorado. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. He will always be known by a few, even in their adulthood, as the “tickle spider”. He is also survived by his 3 precious dogs, one of which was able to be with him his final days at the hospice house.
In lieu of flowers, please direct the memorials to the family, which will be used to sponsor youth in some type of agricultural related activity.
