Teresa Kisicki, 53

Posted

Teresa Linnea Kisicki was born to Arlyn “Ole” Olson and Victoria L. Strand at Oakland Memorial Hospital on Sept. 24, 1970. She passed away on April 14, 2024, at Arbor Care Nursing Home in Tekamah, Neb., after a long illness, surrounded by family. She was 53 years old.

She attended grade school at Nolana Country School, southwest of Craig. After Nolana closed, she went to Oakland-Craig and finally to Tekamah-Herman after moving to Tekamah due to a house fire on their family farm in 1985.

On July 18, 1997, Teresa married the love of her life, Dirk Kisicki. They had four children: Amber, Timothy, Paige and Savanna. Teresa and Dirk resided in Tekamah first and later moved between four different towns, returning to Tekamah to spend their final years. Dirk passed away on June 20, 2018, after a battle with cancer.

Her grandchildren brought her so much joy and pride. Teresa loved crafts of any kind. She always had her coloring books and fine line pens doing pictures for everyone. She also loved cooking and baking and had many “famous” recipes she was known for. She always leant a helping hand to anyone who needed it, and always had the biggest smile on her face, no matter her struggles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Disk Kisicki; her father, Arlyn “Ole” Olson; and her father-in-law, Don Kisicki.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Vikki (Strand, Olson) McNeir and Leon McNeir of Tekamah; children: Amber (Javier) Olson-Chan of Hanston, Kan., Tim Kisicki of Omaha, Neb., Paige Kisicki of Hastings, Neb., and Savanna Kisicki of Doniphan, Neb.; sister, Misti (Danny) Johnson of Craig; brothers, David (Michelle) Olson of Blair and Mike (Tiffany) Olson of Craig; 13 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
