Youth wrestlers compete at Fort Calhoun

PWC, Arlington and Blair earn 1st-place finishes

Five mats were used Saturday during the Fort Calhoun Youth Wreslting Tourney at Fort Calhoun High School.
On them, 10 Pioneer Wrestling Club, five Arlington and four Blair wrestlers earned first-place finishes in their brackets. The hometown team's champions were Rowan Combs, Bowen Jorgensen, Aiden Maschman, Bennett Gossman, Cache McNew, Thomas Jensen, Kyler Pearson, Ledger Bernasek, Carter Doyle and Raymond Caruso.
For Arlington Youth Sports, Edwin Dunklau, Ryker Nelson, Alex Blake, Ryker Wegner and Tyson Soll claimed first as did Blair Wrestling Club's Berkley Kruse, Connor Ferrari, Easton Kruse and Emmett Tegtmeier.
The tournament occupied both FCHS gyms with three mats inside one and two in the other with several high school wrestlers keeping score at the scorer's tables.
