Washington Co Board of Equalization The Board met at 10:00 am on Thurs, July 20, 2023 in the Supervisor’s meeting room at the Courthouse in Blair, Nebr. Present: Vice Chairman Bob Frahm, Co Board Members, Jon Stewart, Jay Anderson, and Steven Kruger. Absent: Steve Dethlefs, Kevin Barnhill, and Lisa Kramer. Also present, Co Clk Barbara Sullivan, Co Assr Robin Andreasen and Dpty Assr Lacy Johnson. Board unanimously approved the agenda for 7/20/23. Clerk said the Property Valuation Protest Form 422 for each protest filed, along with the referee’s recommendation and any other information the property owner supplied as a record of the proceedings, is on file in the Co Clk’s office. William Kaiser, Kaiser Appraisal Services, is the referee that met with people filing a property valuation protest. The following protests were considered: Kristine Rubeck (Lakeland Ests 3rd Add, Lot 43 Blk 24). Owner was not present. Board unanimously concurred with the Referee & Assr to value at $227,375. William & Kim Wilch (Elkhorn River Ests E1/2 of Lot 18). Owner was not present. Board unanimously concurred with the Referee & Assr to value at $23,810. Melody Macek (Lakeview Ests II, Lot 8). Owner was present and spoke. Board unanimously concurred with the Referee & Assr to value at $266,060. Greg Mellema (AV Walnut Hill 2nd Add Lot 8). Owner was present and spoke. Board unanimously concurred with the Assr to adjust the value to $326,435. Duane Andersen (BC Lot 1, Blk 71 & pt of Vac St). Owner was not present. Board unanimously concurred with the Referee & Assr to value at $56,550. Robert McKinnis (BC Crowell Add Revised Lot 11). Owner spoke to board via phone in.
