The Blair Dawgs town team fell to 0-3 last Sunday with an 12-11 home loss to the North Bend Benders at Vets Field.
The Dawgs' Russ Nelsen said his squad scored nine runs across the last two innings, but couldn't quite complete the comeback against their Dodge County Baseball League (DCBL) visitors.
Going into Thursday's game with the Valley Terriers, Blair remained winless this summer. It lost to Dodge 17-5 in the opener on May 29 before a 10-2 loss at Scribner on June 2.
Early season stats on the DCBL website have Aaron Kelberlau batting at a .500 average through four at-bats. Tyler Jones is at .429, while Brad Gentzler is hitting .400. Chris Chance has two RBIs to his name, while Gentzler has two doubles.
The Dawgs will play at West Point this Sunday and at Wahoo on June 16, but return home for a June 19 game against the Leigh/Schuyler Crawdads. That Sunday afternoon game starts at 2.
