Unified athletes to compete at state track

8 Blair, 3 Fort Calhoun athletes set for Burke Stadium

Eleven Washington County Unified athletes will compete Thursday during the NSAA State Track and Field Championships at Omaha Burke Stadium.
Riley Yanek, Keenan Wyman, Cornez Tucker, Cooper Sorensen, Jaden Rogge, Lincoln Kruse, Caden Finken and Atticus Dick will represent Blair, while Will Maxon, Logen Brewer and Andrew Namuth will compete in Fort Calhoun orange and black.
Maxon and Namuth will participate in the Unified shot put at 1:30 p.m. Thursday before Brewer joins Maxon for the Unified long jump at 2:50. Finken and Wyman will compete in the long jump, too, after Tucker and Rogge participate in the shot put for BHS.
The Bears' Dick, Kruse, Sorensen and Yanak will run the Unified 400-meter relay at approximately 2:10 p.m., too. The team enters with a 51.91-second seed time.
