Susan Gene Robinson, age 76 of Tekamah, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Sept. 20, 2022. She was an avid fan of the NY Times crossword. On Tuesday morning while working on her puzzle, she wasn’t feeling well. Tekamah Rescue transported her to Blair Hospital where she later passed away after several attempts to resuscitate.
She was born on Feb. 4, 1946, and grew up in DeSoto, with her mother Norma and Virgil Hineline, along with her siblings Bill, Joyce, Charles and David. Susan married Tob (Randy) Robinson April 4, 1980. Sue and Tob together raised three children; Cory (Karlene) Harper, Callie (Brad) Whitenburg and Colby (Jenna) Robinson. They have four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Sue and Tob were married for forty-two beautiful years. Their love was truly inspirational. They really enjoyed camping with her brother Bill and his wife, Pat, who was also her best friend. They also enjoyed trips to the casino. Sue was a wonderful cook who inspired her children to remember and recreate her recipes, especially her famous chicken and noodles. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and playing little quiz games with Tob. Sue enjoyed fast and pretty cars. In her younger days, she aspired to be a racecar driver before dedicating her life to raising her three children.
Sue is survived by her husband Tob, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents.
