Robert A. Jordan, age 78 of Blair, passed away Oct. 22, 2023, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Neb. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 27, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair, Neb. Graveside services will follow in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 26 with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair.
Bob was born Feb. 26, 1945, in Turin, Iowa, the son of Clifford and Cecil Jordan. He was raised in Hornick and Castana, Iowa, area, and attended school at Castana. He graduated from Maple Valley High School in 1963.
On Oct. 27, 1963, he was united in marriage to Shirley Ernst. Robert worked in the grocery industry for years before beginning route sales for Mass Merchandise. In 1974 the family made their permanent home in Blair. Bob was an employee of Woodhouse in Blair for 21 years, working as a parts driver. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. Bob enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with his family.
Bob is survived by his wife Shirley; sons: Ricky (Lisa) Jordan, and Steven (Shawna) Jordan; grandchildren: Eric, Sara, Christian, Brayden, Kalli, Kaleb, and Daniel Jordan, Halee and Nathan Jeffries, Jasmine Buckley, and Autumn Knoll; sister Rita Apel of Nevada, Iowa; nephew Matt (Becky) Apel; great niece and nephew Lora and Nick Apel; along with cousins, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.
