Michael Robert Holmstedt, age 75 of Blair, passed away Oct. 27, 2023. Visitation will be held November 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair.
Mike was born Sept. 11, 1948, in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Robert and Alberta Holmstedt. He was raised in Omaha and graduated from Sacred Heart High School.
After high school, Mike served his country, joining the United States Navy and serving on the USS Saratoga. On Aug. 4, 1973, he was united in marriage to Vicky Krause in Omaha. Mike was a long-time employee of the United States government, and after his retirement worked as a bus driver for Blair Community Schools.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Vicky; son Christopher; seven grandchildren: Melissa, Echo, Kendell, Demtrius, Ethan, Ella and Evan; siblings: Judy, Carol, Jim, Mary, Roberta and Josephine; brothers-in-law: Larry and Byron; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Brett, brothers Frank and Pat and brother-in-law Mark.
Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
