Marian M. Lottman, 87 of Fremont, Neb., passed away Friday, Nov. 10, 2023 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont, surrounded by her family. She was born Nov. 6, 1936 in Arlington, Neb., to Ewald and Marie (Laaker) Dunklau.
She grew up in Arlington and was a 1955 graduate from Arlington High School. Marian nannied in Arlington from 1955 to 1959. She married Earl Lottman on March 29, 1959 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington. They moved to Fremont in 1959. Marian worked for Campbells Soup from 1960 to 1962.
She then raised her children until she started to work at Midland Lutheran College in 1970. She was the housekeeping supervisor at Midland, retiring in 2000.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont and former member at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington.
Marian is survived by her sons, John (Jennifer) Lottman of Lincoln, and James (Mary) Lottman of Fremont; sister, Linda (Larry) Shepard of Fremont; grandchildren, Brandy Marshall of Fremont, Auston (Alyssa) Lottman of Fernley, Nevada, Kayla Lottman of Lincoln, Samantha Lottman of Omaha, Colin Lottman of Fremont, Justin Lottman of Lincoln and Abigail Lottman of Lincoln; two great-grandchildren, Chase and Jerzey Marshall of Fremont; and one great-great-grandchild, Brinley Martin of Fremont; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl; and sister, Gorgene (Charles) Iske; and sister-in-law, Esther DeWanz.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, Nov. 17, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be 1:30 p.m., Friday at St. Paul’s Cemetery near Arlington.
