A livestock building burned to the ground Monday night near Arlington.

Arlington, Kennard and Blair firefighters were called to 21202 County Road 26 at approximately 9:45 p.m. for an outbuilding that was fully involved.

“It was through the roof,” Arlington Fire Chief Dan Douglas said.

No animals were in the building at the time of the fire. No one was injured in the blaze.

Firefighters were on scene until at least 12:30 a.m.

The Nebraska State Fire Marshal is investigating the incident. Douglas said there was a power line that fed the building was down.

“Preliminary, there might have been something with that power line,” he said.

Arlington firefighters also responded to the report of a structure fire at 9059 County Road 3 at approximately 2:42 a.m. That was determined to be a power line sparking. Nickerson firefighters also responded to that call.
