Janie Jensen was born Mary Jane Phillips on Feb. 6, 1937, in Fort Madison, Iowa, and passed away on Nov. 7, 2022, in Blair.
She is survived by a son, Robert Kourtney (Peterson) Jensen and wife Lena, in Blair; son Douglas DeVere Peterson and wife Maria, in Florida; and a daughter, Desiree Diane (Peterson) Downey, in Louisiana, She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Kailynn Jensen, Kenner Jensen, Dalton Peterson and Hannah (Peterson) Lopez.
She was preceded in death by a husband, Robert Kirk Peterson, and a husband Carl (Bear) Andrew Jensen, Jr.,as well as her parents, John Howard and Alease (Lunn) Phillips, and 5 siblings (Doris, Bobby, Buddy, Louise and David).
Following Janie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Private burial will be held at the Blair Cemetery. Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair is in charge of arrangements.
