Information on Early (Absentee) Voting for Primary Election May 10, 2022 Any registered voter has an option to vote an early (absentee) ballot. Starting April 6th, early voting will begin. With the redistricting done in 2021, based on the 2020 Census, some people’s precincts/polling places have changed. If you want to check your polling place you may call the County Clerk’s office, 402-426-6822, or go to the County’s website: www.votercheck.necvr.ne.gov. Here is more information on Early Voting: Early Voting by Mail: Any registered voter may vote an early voting (absentee) ballot instead of voting at their polling place. The voter must mail, email or fax the Early Voting Ballot application or a signed request including name, address and address where the ballot is to be sent, to County Clerk, P.O. Box 466, Blair, NE 68008, fax it to (402) 426-6825, or email to: clerk@washingtoncountyne.gov. Early Voting Ballot by Agent: An early voting (absentee) ballot may be picked up and/or delivered by an agent. The agent must come to the Washington County Clerk’s Office at 1555 Colfax St. in Blair to obtain the ballots. No person may act as an agent for more than two voters per election. Early Voting in Person: Any registered voter may vote in person prior to Election Day. A voter may vote in person at the County Clerk’s Office at 1555 Colfax St. in Blair, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or you may sign the application and take the ballots with you, vote them, then either drop them off at the County Clerk’s office or mail them to: Washington County Clerk 1555 Colfax St – PO Box 466 Blair, NE 68008 (do not return early voting ballots to the polling place on election day).
