A sixth death related to COVID-19 has been reported in Washington County, according to the Three Rivers Public Health Department.

The health department reported three new deaths in its jurisdiction, including a Washington County woman in her 70s who had underlying health conditions.

Two Dodge County residents — a man in his 60s and a woman in her 90s — also died. The woman had underlying health conditions.

The total deaths for the health district is 26.

The health department is continuing to see cases within the health district. As of Monday, there were 356 cases in Washington County and 2,313 for the entire district, which includes Dodge, Saunders and Washington counties.

“We are continuing to see increases in cases and we need everyone to understand that this is in every community — please wear your mask and stay home if you are sick,” executive director Terra Uhing said. “This past week alone we had 221 cases and are averaging a 13.30% weekly positivity rate.”
