The Blair girls basketball team finished a win short of a second-straight state tournament qualification Saturday in York.
The Bears fell behind 36-19 after a 15-1 Dukes third period and lost the Class B District 5 Final, 51-36. Coach Matt Aschoff’s team finishes 14-10 overall, it’s fourth-consecutive winning season after nine-straight campaigns with more losses than victories.
Junior Joslyn Policky led BHS with 11 points, while senior Kaitlyn Johnson had 10 and sophomore Addie Sullivan notched eight.
The loss was the final game for five Blair seniors — Alyssa Schumacher, Norah Cloudt, Quinn Avila, Allison Hernandez and Johnson.
