District Track Update: AHS boys win C-2 meet

14 Eagles earn state spots

The Arlington High School boys won the Class C-2 District track and field title Thursday in David City, scoring 123 team points to second-place Wahoo Neumann’s 116.
The Eagle girls were third, too, as coach Kyle Buckingham’s squad qualified 14 athletes overall for the NSAA State Championships in Omaha.

The AHS qualifiers are:
Hayley Arp (shot put, discus)
Taylor Arp (discus)
Austyn Flesner (1600 relay)
Kevin Flesner (800 run, 1600 relay, 3200 relay)
Kaden Foust (400 dash, 1600 relay, 3200 relay, long jump)
Dallin Franzluebbers (400 dash, 3200 relay)
Brooke Hilgenkamp (3200 relay)
Trey Hill (800 run, 1600 relay)
Trent Koger (triple jump)
Kelise Krivohlavek (1600 relay, 3200 relay)
Nolan May (1600 run, 3200 run, 1600 relay, 3200 relay)
Hailey O’Daniel (800 run, 1600 run, 1600 relay, 3200 relay)
Kolby Tighe (1600 run, 3200 run)
Whitney Wollberg (1600 relay, 3200 relay, pole vault)

Class C state competition begins 9 a.m. May 17 at Omaha Burke Stadium and continues through May 18. Notably, Blair and Fort Calhoun compete May 15-16 in the Class B meet.
