Blair girls soccer game delayed by storm

Tuesday's Washington County Pilot-Tribune incorrectly published the following story, detailing the Bears' rain-delayed girls soccer game at Bennington finished as an official 1-0 defeat.
Instead, the teams opted to play the second half Monday after completing the first 40 minutes April 21 before storms sent the teams home early. The Badgers scored three more goals during Monday's second half and won, 4-0.
The loss officially dropped the the Bears to 6-6 this season.

The Class B No. 8 Blair girls soccer team played just 40 minutes at No. 6 Bennington on Thursday.
The match was called at halftime after stormy weather passed overhead, dropping the Bears' season record to 6-6. Their opposition improved to 10-4.
“Decently average,” coach Brandon Palmer said to describe BHS' play.
The Badgers scored the abbreviated match's lone goal during the 33rd minute. The scorer broke out on a long run and found the top righthand corner of the net with a kick.
Blair plays its regular season finale 6 p.m. today at Krantz Field. The Bears host No. 7 Elkhorn.
