BHS boys soccer earns win at Ralston

Bears improve to 5-3

Scoreless through 40 minutes, the Blair High School boys soccer team netted two second-half goals to beat Ralston on Thursday, 2-0.
Luke Donner earned the shutout in goal, claiming the Bears' first win against a team with a winning record this season. Coach Curt Scott's team is 5-3 overall, having won three matches in a row.
The host Rams fell to 4-3 in defeat.
BHS senior Sakuto Yamada scored the Bears' first goal, capitalizing on an assist by Eli Belsky. Alex Just scored shortly thereafter, giving the road squad a two-goal advantage to protect for the rest of the second half.
Blair was scheduled to host an opening round Eastern Midlands Conference (EMC) Tournament match Monday and will compete again today if it won. Consolation matches for first-round defeated teams are Thursday and the EMC finals are Friday.
