Ardith Lena Pounds, age 89 of Blair, passed away July 8, 2023. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, Aug. 20, 2023 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Lions Park in Blair, food and refreshments will be provided.
Ardith (Ardee) Lena Mueller was born April 18, 1934 on the family farm southeast of Kennard, Neb. She attended Peaceful Hill School and graduated from Blair High School in 1951. On Oct. 28, 1951 she married James D. Pounds.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James D. Pounds, and infant grandson Michael Lee Pounds, her parents Arthur and Hilda (Schumacher) Mueller, brother Donald Mueller and infant baby brother.
She is survived by her children: James M. (Judy) Pounds, Jon (Kathy) Pounds, Robert Pounds, Patricia (Richard D. Jr.) Wiese and Ann (Tim) Miller; grandchildren: James A. (Amber) Pounds, Carrie Pounds (Aaron) Lyons, Mercedes Wiese (Alex) Malone, Nicholas and Matthew Miller; great granddaughters Kayla and Paisley Lyons; great grandsons Maximus and Charlie Malone and James R. Pounds.
