A regular and advertised meeting of the Village of Kennard Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, October 11th, 2023, at 7:00 P.M. at the Village Offices 208 Main Street Kennard, NE. Notice of the meeting was given in advance notice thereof by posting in two locations in the Village, on the Village website, and on social media and in the Enterprise newspaper. Notice was also given to all Board members. Availability of the agenda was given with advanced notice. All proceedings hereafter were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. Chairperson Lanette Morgan called to meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. In attendance were board members Lanette Morga, Robert Dunkle, Meghan Eulberg , Vance Cooley and clerk Kathryn Doll. A motion was made by Dunkle, seconded by Eulberg to approve the October 11th, 2023 agenda. Motion carried. A motion was made by Dunkle, seconded by Cooley to approve the September 5th, 2023 minutes, the September 19th, 2023 minutes, and the September 2023 bills. Motion carried. A motion was made by Cooley, seconded by Dunkle to approve the September 2023 treasurer’s report. Motion carried. September bills: Visa 502.74, River Valley Monument 7294.00, Spartan Nash 3.99, Washington County Surveyor 20.00, Envirotech 180.00, People Services 950.00, LONM 1214.00, Enterprise 338.41, Cemify 1856.25, Papillion Sanitation 132.77, Eakes 172.57, Western oil 323.85, Pitney Bowes 207.71, 3 Rivers Clerk Assn 10.00, NE Pub Health 485.00, US Treasury 995.76, NE Dept of Revenue 25.00, SE Smith 56.27, City Of Blair 7065.89, Staples 787.13, OPPD 1730.46, Fastwyre 285.43, Payroll 3661.58, mileage 134.93. Reports were given by the Water, Street and Auditorium Committees. Revenue options for Auditorium repairs & maintenance discussed. Water committee to work on malfunctioning meters a few per month. Street committee to follow up on contracted work. The Village maintenance list was updated to include adding a railing to the stairs at the pump station. Discussion to amend ordinance 346, An ordinance setting the salaries of board members. Clerk to create a new ordinance to include a 100.00 raise per year for members and deleting the 14.21 per hour for “extra work” to be posted before and discussed at November 7th, 2023 regular board meeting. Cooley made a motion to end the meeting as there was no further business to discuss. Dunkle seconded. Meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m. ZNEZ ENT 10-20-23
