A regular and advertised meeting of the Village of Kennard Board of Trustees was held on Tuesday, June 6th, 2023, at 7:00 P.M. at the Village Offices 208 Main Street Kennard, NE. Notice of the meeting was given in advance notice thereof by posting in three locations in the Village and the Enterprise newspaper. Notice was also given to all Board members. Availability of the agenda was given with advanced notice. All proceedings hereafter were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. Chair Lanette Morgan called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. In attendance were Board members Vance Cooley, Lanette Morgan, Bob Dunkle, Clint Pearson, and Village Clerk Kathryn Doll. A motion was made by Dunkle, seconded by Cooley to approve the June 2023 agenda, the May 2023 minutes, and the May 2023 bills. Motion carried. May bills: Sid Dillon 533.55, Cemify 1856.25, NE IA Supply CO 76.10, Travis Goldapp 1400.00, Bobcat of Omaha 628.64, NE DOL 25.00, Pounds Printing 69.15, Pitney Bowes 403.18, Western Oil 380.11, People Services 1090.00, SE Smith 319.80, City Of Blair 4854.81, OPPD 1632.31, Enterprise Pub 189.16, Henton Trenching 1700.00, Papillion Sanitation 132.77, Bomgaars 43.89, Midwest Lab 97.50, GWorks 645.00, AKRS 649.99, Visa 2652.80, Abes Potables 145.00, Fastwyre 265.41, Payroll 6654.14, miles 195.85. A motion was made by Dunkle, seconded by Pearson to approve May 2023 Treasurer’s report. Motion carried. Cemetery Sexton reported on Cemetery. Cistern will need to be filled and trees planted. The board suggested the cemetery board use grant money for trees. Suggestion by Morgan to amend the Village nuisance ordinance 355 to include household appliances, unregistered/junk vehicles and abatement and enforcement additions. Section 3-402 M, N, O and the additions of 3-603,3, 603-4 and 3-605 will be read at the July 11, 2023 meeting. Copies available at Village Office. Motion to approve Town Web to update Village website was made by Dunkle, Seconded by Pearson, Morgan aye, Cooley nay. Motion passed. Motion to accept bid from Enviro-tech for pest control by Dunkle, seconded by Cooley. Motion carried. Motion to accept bid from Washington County Heating & Air for duct cleaning and HVAC tune up by Cooley, seconded by Pearson. Motion carried. Motion to accept bid for construction of 5 water testing stations from Henton Trenching by Dunkle, Pearson seconded. Motion Carried. Motion to accept bid for GIS mapping by People Services by Dunkle, seconded by Cooley. Motion Carried. Motion to adjourn at 8:50 by Cooley, Seconded by Dunkle Motion carried.
