Eagles score 6 runs in 4th, beat Louisville

The Class C No. 9 Arlington baseball team scored six fourth-inning runs and beat Louisville on Saturday, 9-4.
Coach Tyler Stender's Eagles improved to 10-8 with the victory at the Washington County Fairgrounds, while the visiting Lions dropped to 2-15.
AHS first baseman Blaine Vogt started the fourth frame with a single. Tim Halley reached base next before senior Darren Olson hit a two-run double.
Ahead 4-3, Olson scored on a passed ball as Jack Bang reached first base to keep the fourth inning going. Braden Monke then singled before Trevor Denker's two-RBI double pushed the Eagles' advantage to 7-3. The latter later scored on an error as the home team went ahead by five runs and held the lead.
Arlington starter Tyler Ott pitched 4 2/3 innings, claiming the victory with five strikeouts.
The Eagles next compete today at Omaha Gross before the Class C District 3 Tournament begins Thursday. Coach Stender's team will open postseason play against Maxwell-St. Pat's at 1:30 p.m. on Kernel Field in Central City. With a win, AHS advances to Friday's district title game against top-seeded Central City/Fullerton/Centura or Louisville.
