Blair Little League's All-Stars advanced onto the second weekend of the Nebraska State Minors Division Tournament with last Friday, Saturday and Sunday's results.
The All-Stars went 2-1 at Patriot Park and play Cardinal Little League today at 7 p.m. back in Kearney. To secure the opportunity, Blair beat Grand Island on July 11 and Keystone Little League last Sunday. Grayson Mills had four hits to help beat Grand Island 16-5, while pitcher Michael Pakiz recorded 15 outs during the 2-1 win against Keystone.
The Minors All-Stars, however, lost a 10-0 game to Kearney Little League last Saturday, which made the contest against Keystone an elimination game.
If Blair is able to beat Cardinal Little League today, it'll play a semifinals game Saturday. If it loses, it's tourney run will be done.
The Minors team is coached by Nick Swaney, Tim Anderson and Trent Hansen.
