The Blair Lions Club recently celebrated the winners of the annual local Peace Poster Contest. The competition, sponsored by the Blair Lions Club and Lions Club International, involves youth in the community and emphasizes the importance of world peace. The theme this year was “Dare to Dream.”

Liam Smith, a student at Otte Middle School, was awarded first place in the local contest. Avery Baughman was awarded second place and Lucy Walker received third place. Their posters were chosen from 12 submissions in the local contest.

Smith’s poster also earned him the runner up award at the district level.

Glenn Coates, Blair Lions Club Peace Contest Coordinator, coordinated the contest submissions with Otte art teacher Stephanie Cattlett.
