An 18-year-old Blair High School graduate made her first appearance in court Tuesday after being arrested in connection with a stabbing death in Omaha on Sunday.

Opal is being held without bond.

Opal's next court appearance is scheduled for July 1 for a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. in the Douglas County Courthouse.

Police were called to an Omaha residence at 3:10 a.m. Sunday, according to the initial police report. Once on the scene, police were told by witnesses that Sinkiawic had been taken to Nebraska Medical Center by a private vehicle after being stabbed.
