Staff reports
Days after its Waterloo-Valley tournament title victory, the Fort Calhoun Junior Legion baseball team had its Tuesday evening game at Yutan called early due to adverse weather. The Senior Legion baseball game was also canceled, coach Brandon Wynn said. The Juniors, however, had the game-tying runner on base as storms put an early end to the night's baseball. They'd won last Sunday's Junior tourney with wins against Waterloo Valley, Arlington and Elmwood-Murdock Nehawka. The Fort Calhoun Seniors, meanwhile, next play today at West Point after a scheduled Wednesday contest at Waterloo-Valley. Results of both games will appear in next Tuesday's Washington County Pilot-Tribune.
