Pitchers Chuck Salsbury and Matt Knight combined to throw a no-hitter against Fremont McDonalds on June 23, 1988.
It was the second time their Blair American Legion team kept Fremont from logging a hit against it that season. Coach Phil Seevers' team won the second one, 10-2.
“Chuck threw a pretty good game for us and we did a good job of hitting,” the coach said.
Altogether, Salsbury threw five innings, striking out nine batters while allowing three walks. Knight, meanwhile, didn't allow a hit in relief.
Offensively, Blair's Dave Livingston, RJ Ryan and Kent Biffar were among those to notch RBIs. Pat Hall, Livingston and Salsbury had two hits apiece against Fremont as well.
