For most of Saturday, an awards podium sat empty in the shade next to the Blair Municipal Pool.
At the conclusion of the East Husker Conference Meet, though, Blair Swim Team medalists and their competition filled it.
Overall, Hannah Huenink, Briella Kastrup and Lilly Moore represented their hometown with first-place finishes during the event, which drew more than 200 swimmers to Blair.
Fremont Area Swim Team (FAST) athletes Jane Busboom and Ryleigh Schroeter won events in their hometown, too.
Huenink, 12, was first in the 50-meter backstroke in 45.53 seconds. She also earned a gold medal in the 100 IM, finishing it in 1:33.92.
The Blair swimmer was also first in the 11-12 age group for total team points with 27 to Moore's 24. Moore's event win was in the 50-meter fly (46.15).
