The top-seeded Omaha Concordia Mustangs topped the Arlington High School boys basketball team 56-38 Thursday, ending the Eagles’ season during the Class C1-4 Subdistrict Tournament.
Coach Jake Polk’s squad finishes the year 13-11 overall. It’s AHS’ first winning season since 2021 and just its third in the past 10.
According to the Omaha Concordia scorebook, Eagles senior Trent Koger scored 19 points, breaking the school record for career points. He closes his four-year run with 1,092, while Tom Anderson totaled 1,089 from 1967 through 1971.
Arlington’s Oliver Ladehoff scored 10 points Thursday, too, while seniors Schuyler Logemann and Killian McIntosh scored three each in their final games.
Coming up
The Arlington girls basketball team hosts Central City at 7 p.m. Friday in the Class C1-7 District Final. The winner advances onto the NSAA State Championships.
Then, on Saturday, the Blair girls play at Bennington in the B-5 District Final. It starts at 1 p.m.
