The Blair Junior Legion baseball team was eliminated from Class B state title contention Monday afternoon in Gering.
After a 1-1 start to the tournament Saturday and Sunday, the Post 154 ballclub lost a 10-2 elimination game to West Point. The game ended during the bottom of the fifth inning due to run-rule.
"We couldn't get any momentum going," coach Sean Munger said.
Even so, he congratulated the Blair squad for its successful season.
"It was fun to watch them this summer," Munger noted.
The Post 154 Juniors competed against McCook and Hickman in Gering, too. It lost a first-round game to McCook first, 7-6, before Sunday's 12-10 win against Hickman.
