AHS' Rollins wins Special Olympics race

Arlington and Blair swimmers competed alongside their Fremont High School teammates Friday during the NSAA Swimming & Diving Championships in Lincoln.
During the preliminary rounds, four BHS student athletes earned state finals spots. Jane Busboom, Ryleigh Schroeder, Kennedy Zehner and Jacob Hanson all earned top-eight finishes in individual events or relay races to qualify.
Four more Washington County swimmers — Blair’s Mason Lau and Hannah Huenink, and Arlington’s Dathan Hansen and Eli Hansen — competed inside the Bob Devaney Sports Center, too, but fell short of second-day opportunities.
The NSAA state finals begin noon Saturday.

2 Eagles compete in Special Olympics races
Arlington athletes Malory Rollins and Boaz Rhea competed at state as well, taking part in Special Olympics 50-yard freestyle races.
Rollins earned first in the girls’ race, while Rhea earned 14th.
