Arlington bull rider qualifies for JH nationals
Haydn Hegemann of Arlington has qualified for the June 19-25 National Junior High Finals Rodeo in Perry, Ga.
The bull rider earned his spot May 19-20 at the Nebraska Junior High State Finals in Broken Bow. He earned a top-four finish in the state standings to advance, claiming a belt buckle along the way.

Tomcak archery shoot set for Sunday
The annual Brandon Tomcak Memorial 3-D Shoot is set for Sunday at the Lake Cunningham Outdoor Archery Range, 9100 Pawnee Road.
The archery event, orchestrated each year by Orion Archery Club of Blair and the Tomcak family, starts at 7 a.m. and continues through 2 p.m. It is donation-based for all ages, but geared toward children who are just beginning or experienced in the sport. Instruction and equipment will be available for use.
Door prizes, concessions and raffle prizes are also apart of the 3-D shoot experience.

Ogle set for Shrine Bowl
Class of 2022 Blair High School graduate Wyatt Ogle is set to play in Saturday's 64th Nebraska Shrine Bowl football game at Ron & Carol Cope Stadium in Kearney.
The 6-foot-3, 290-pound standout lineman — who signed to play college ball at Wayne State College in February — will wear No. 74 for the North team during the 6 p.m. all-star contest. Practices led by Omaha Creighton Prep coach Tim Johnk started last Sunday.
